Whether it's America's pastime, the sound of a ball swishing through a hoop, or those lively fistfights that break out every five minutes on the ice, Sports Illustrated is your guide. SI has a weekly readership of twenty-one million and today we talk to Angela Citino of SI for her advice on becoming the magazine's next intern.

IM: How long does the internship last? Are interns paid and/or is school credit offered?

AC: The internship is for one semester and interns must be able to receive school credit. We do reimburse interns for their transportation to and from work, and we also give them ten dollars a day for lunch.

AC: We are looking for an intern who has an interest in public relations and publicity, and someone who is knowledgeable about the world of sports.

IM: Do you hire former interns for full or part-time jobs? If an intern isn't hired but did well during their internship, can they ask for a letter of recommendation?

AC: We do hire former interns if positions are available, and interns can ask for a letter of recommendation.

IM: What have former interns gone on to do?

AC: Recent interns have landed permanent positions with high-profile organizations, including the NFL, Edelman, The Seattle Supersonics, Fortune Magazine, and with Sports Illustrated.
